This past summer I didn´t get much of a break. Generally here in Spain, during the summer months, I get a few weeks off although every year as I meet more people and get involved in different projects it seems as though my summers just keep getting shorter. (and I´m not complaining) This year I had the opportunity to participate in the film The Extraordinary Tale of the Times Table, directed by Jose Ortuño and Laura Alvea, and I had a blast. It´s hard to classify and/or explain the movie, and I wouldn´t do it justice, but it has a Delicatessen or Amelie feel/vibe to it. The photography is amazing and I have a feeling that it´s going to turn out to be a great film. In any case, I´m proud of my work and I am happy to have met so many amazing people to have made some good friends in the process. I´m sure I´ll write a bit more about the entire process as well as any news related to the film in future blogs.
On another note, we´re still filming the series Flaman. I can´t say too much about the series yet as not too much has been published, but I´m having a lot of fun creating and understanding my character. The series is looking pretty good, and I´m not an audience barometer but I think it´ll be successful. Who wouldn´t like to see a ¨Cani¨ from the hood with all sorts of super powers with our friends from Big Bang Theory lending him a hand and teaching him all about the gifts he´s been given? It´s got a touch of Misfits and Malviviendo thrown into the mix as well. David is quite a talented writer and I think we did a great job casting the show. It wasn´t easy but I think all the hard work that the various individuals at team Diffferent put in will soon be reflected. And the special effects are looking great.
